Scots Trad Awards’ piping nominees


Brighde Chaimbeul

Brighde Chaimbeul, Inveraray & District Pipe Band, Royal Burgh of Annan Pipe Band, Lochalsh Junior Pipe Band and Dollar Academy Pipe Band are nominees at this year’s Scots Trad Music Awards.

The awards take place on December 2 at the Lagoon Centre in Paisley, Scotland and will be broadcast by BBC Alba.

Chaimbeul’s nomination is in the Up and Coming Artist category. Chaimbeul, pictured, won the BBC Radio Young Folk Award in 2016.

A total of 16 awards are up for grabs. Voting is open as from today (November 8) although a registration process is required first. Click HERE to vote.

North Lanarkshire Schools Pipe Band scooped the Scottish Pipe Band of the Year award last year.
